Breast Augmentation is a surgical operation to enhance the body contour of a woman, who for personal reasons feels that her breast size is too small. It is also commonly performed to correct a loss in breast volume following pregnancy or to balance breast size when a significant size difference between breasts exists.

Breast enlargement is accomplished by surgically inserting a breast implant either behind the chest muscles or behind the breast tissue. Incisions are placed to keep the scars as inconspicuous as possible. Decisions as to the size and type of implant as well as method and location of surgical placement depends on the anatomy and preference of the individual in conjunction with the surgeon’s recommendations.
